Arinjoy Sen

Arinjoy Sen (b. 1996) works as an architectural designer in London alongside an art practice. His concerns run from the politics and aesthetics of architecture to contested landscapes, citizenship, migration and spatial justice. Drawing is central, both as a way of working out narrative and space and as a tool for addressing critical histories. He combines digital image-making with traditional craft such as kantha embroidery and carpet weaving, so that past, present and future sit on a single surface. His work has been shown at La Biennale di Venezia (2023), the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2024), the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (2023), the Royal Institute of British Architects, London (2024), the Museum of Contemporary Art, Lisbon (2024), Art Mumbai (2023), the African Futures Institute, Accra (2023) and the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich (2023), and has been covered by the Guardian, the Observer, Dezeen, e-flux, STIRworld and Wallpaper*. His writing has appeared in the Architects' Journal, the Architectural Review, Architectural Digest India, the Funambulist, the RIBA Journal and the Indian Express.
