MAG Young Artists Grant
Support for emerging artists in India and beyond: a cash grant, mentorship and the chance to exhibit at the gallery.
About the grant
The grant fosters the growth of young talent through financial support, a mentorship programme, and exhibition opportunities. An internal jury shortlists a pool of artists invited to show in a group exhibition; from this cohort, three artists receive cash prizes and dedicated mentorship leading up to the show.
Prizes
₹1,00,000 to the lead grant recipient.
₹50,000 each to two further artists.
Grantees may also be offered a solo show at the gallery's discretion.
Eligibility
Aged 21 to 35, working in contemporary art (no AI, illustration, or animation), emerging or early-career, and not currently represented by an Indian gallery.
How to apply
Submit a single PDF containing a portfolio of at least five recent works, an artist statement (up to 350 words), and a résumé (max two pages) to sales@modernartgallery.co.in.
