Privacy policy

In short
We collect only what we need to reply to you and to run the gallery. We do not sell your details, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete them at any time.
What we collect
When you enquire, RSVP or subscribe we receive what you send us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, your message and the works you are interested in. If you buy a work we also keep your billing and delivery address and the invoice. The site itself keeps your enquiry list only on your own device (browser storage), not on our servers.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, arrange viewings, deliveries and invoices, and to send you the newsletter if you have asked for it. Each newsletter has an unsubscribe link; we never add you to it without your consent.
Messages you send us on WhatsApp are handled on Meta's platform under WhatsApp's own privacy terms. We use them only to talk to you about your enquiry.
Who else sees it
Only the people and services needed to serve you: our email and newsletter provider, art handlers and insurers for deliveries, and our accountants for invoices. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses no advertising cookies. If we add basic visitor analytics we will say so here and you will be able to decline it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Invoices and sale records: eight years, as Indian tax law requires. After that we delete or anonymise the data.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw consent for the newsletter, or nominate someone to act for you. Email sales@modernartgallery.co.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to India's Data Protection Board.

Children and security
The site is not aimed at people under 18. We keep your details on password-protected systems, and if there is ever a data breach affecting you we will tell you promptly.
