Dinkar Jadhav

Dinkar Jadhav was born in 1973 in Jadhavwadi, Pune, and studied at Kala Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Sangli, and Abhinav Kala Vidyalaya, Pune. Turner led him to impasto; cubism gave him the forms. His subjects are horses and bulls, built from geometric shapes over backgrounds divided into blocks of contrasting colour, a method he developed from watching light in nature. He prefers acrylic and layers ten to twelve colours into a single work. He has shown in over a hundred exhibitions, including in the United States, Canada, Singapore and Germany, and held a solo show with Eikowa in 2023.
