Surbhi Soni

Surbhi Soni is a painter, designer and art teacher from Jaipur, and her subject is flowers: marigolds at festivals, lotuses, the flowers Indians use for every celebration. She has painted seriously since 1997 and shown in India and abroad. She took part in the International Art Symposium in Hans, Turkey, in 2022 at the invitation of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and was invited by the Spanish ministry to the 2024 symposium in Monzón. Camps and residencies include Rang Malhar at the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Akademi, the Dehgam Artists' Residency by ICAC, Jaipur By Nite and the Jaipur Art Summit. Awards include the Raja Ravi Varma Award from Gandhi Art Gallery, a gold medal at the Agnipath All India Art Competition, the Jaipur city woman artist award, Kalanand 2016 from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation and a Women Achievers' Award. She also paints on chiffon, georgette, silk and cotton, and nine of her works are in the permanent collection of the Delhi High Court.
