Crossroads

Gouri Vemula's solo exhibition, “Crossroads,” captures the profound cultural shift and emotional challenges of relocating from Hyderabad to Indore - a transition that becomes fertile ground for her exploration of identity, belonging, and transformation through etching, drypoint, and pen-and-ink drawing. Her works are a vivid tapestry of surreal landscapes populated by mythic figures, animals, and fantastical motifs, drawing on the rich visual lexicon of Indian mythology yet reinventing its symbols within contemporary, imagined realms.
